Flood Risk Assessment Code for Sustainable Homes

Under the Code for Sustainable Homes, published in 2008 by DCLG, new homes can be evaluated against nine design categories reflecting issues that can have an impact on the environment.  Hydro-Logic is able to offer a complete assessment service for the Surface Water Run-off category.  This service borrows heavily from the expertise and tools that are used for our Flood Risk Assessments.

We can produce a desktop assessment of individual properties in the form of a brief report.  The Report addresses all salient issues in PPS25 in relation to the specific development.  In addition, an audit is carried out of features of the drainage design, such as soakaways and infiltration basins.  A brief covering letter cross references the requirements of the Code to our Report.

The service is applicable nationwide. We will endeavour to undertake the assessment without the need for site visits.  Should they prove necessary, we can undertake these from our network of Regional offices.
