Flood Risk Assessment Residential Development


The majority of the FRAs we have undertaken in recent years are for residential developments. These vary from small-scale projects involving the development or conversion of single dwellings through to large-scale housing schemes.

We have developed efficient procedures for dealing with this range of projects that address the requirements of PPS25 in a clear manner. Our Level 1 FRAs are appropriate for relatively minor developments or for the scoping of more substantial developments. Level 2 Reports are undertaken for more substantial or more contentious developments, but where there is no need for modelling. Our Level 3 Reports are required where detailed hydraulic modelling is required for establishing flood levels for a particular site.

This range of Reports is supplemented by additional analyses for addressing drainage issues and may involve the design of soakaways or of flood balancing ponds.
