New Office and Team in the South West

Hydro-Logic has expanded its operations in the south west with the relocation of the Ottery St Mary office to larger premises at the East Devon
Business Centre in Honiton.

Just eighteen months ago Hydro-Logic opened an office in the south west and in July moved to larger premises at the East Devon Business Centre in Honiton.

The move is a result of growth in the region and will provide improved facilities for both staff and clients.  Working with Hydro-Logic's office in Reading, the expansion of the consultancy division in Honiton aims to achieve a higher profile in the south.

The expansion coincides with the internal promotion of Nik Whalley from
Regional Manager to Associate Director and the appointment of Helen Olsson to Senior Hydrologist.

Nik is a highly skilled hydrologist with nine years professional experience as a water and environmental consultant. He has delivered hydrological and hydrometric projects for the Environment Agency (EA) and water companies as well as being a tutor on the EA's National Hydrometric Training Scheme. As a keen outdoor enthusiast in fishing, kayaking and wildlife watching, he has a great deal of additional experience to supplement and enhance his professional knowledge.

Helen has worked for Halcrow and HR Wallingford and her specialist areas include catchment flood management planning, flood risk assessments, hydrological and hydraulic modelling and water resources situation reporting. She will be working closely with Nik in the development of the office and will also be involved in our national initiatives on flood risk management, hydraulic modelling and GIS.
