Dr Fenn chairs CIWEM's Water Resources Panel and was the ICE's inaugural expert commentator on both water and sewerage, and flood defence for the 'State of the Nation' reports published in New Civil Engineer.

He founded his own specialist consultancy company, CFonstream, in 2005 and is also a Director of Anser UK Limited - a water sector technology development business. He was previously Managing Director of HR Wallingford and Atkins Water.
