Consultancy Services Manager (Scotland)

Location: Stirling, Scotland

The job
Hydro-Logic is one of the UK’s leading specialist hydrological and hydrometric consultancies with 40 staff in four offices in the UK. In response to an expanding workload and increasing opportunities in Scotland we are looking to appoint a Consultancy Services Manager to lead the development of the consultancy services team in Scotland.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development of the hydrological and hydrometric services team to further complement the instrumentation capabilities of our successful Isodaq Telemetry Division based in Stirling. In your role as Consultancy Services Manager (Scotland) you will work closely with the senior management team and board of Directors.

The requirements

This position is likely to suit an experienced hydrologist, water engineer or water scientist with approximately ten years relevant experience.

You should have experience and ability in each of the following areas:

Business development: client development and marketing
Project delivery: client, financial and technical management
Resource and personnel management.

Specific knowledge of the Scottish water industry including direct experience of flood hydrology, flood warning technology and the hydrological and monitoring requirements of implementing relevant European Directives such as the Water Framework Directive would be of particular benefit.

The successful candidate is likely to hold a Masters degree in a relevant subject and / or be a Chartered member of a relevant institution e.g. CIWEM / ICE.
