WEEE is the fastest growing waste stream in the UK. The WEEE regulations aim to reduce the amount of this waste going to landfill and increase recovery and recycling rates.
There are ten categories of WEEE, of which Hydro-Logic is affected by five:
Small household appliances
IT and telecommunications equipment
Lighting equipment
Electrical and electronic tools
Monitoring and control equipment.
We ensure that we store, collect, treat, recycle and dispose of electronic equipment separately from other waste. Our records can show that this was passed to an appropriate waste management company, and treated / disposed of in an environmentally sound way.
In addition, the WEEE arrangements at our Stirling office are:
Waste PCBs are returned to Stirling for re-use, repair or recycling
PCBs are removed from plastic and metal enclosures. Enclosures are passed to scrap merchants if they cannot be re-used
Unusable PCBs are passed to an ICER approved PCB recycling contractor
(Industry Council for Electronic Equipment Recycling).
Our producer registration number is WEE/HA0052TQ
