Page 2 of 2 TRDi model - StreamPro ADCP streamflow gauging system The StreamPro ADCP represents a revolutionary advance in velocity and discharge measurement in streams.
It offers similar benefits as it’s big-brother Rio Grande ADCP, but for smaller and shallower streams, capable of measuring depth and velocity in channels from 0.15 to 2.0 metres deep. The StreamPro is operated from a handheld Windows Mobile TM compatible computer, and comes complete with a flotation device and a wireless communications link. It can normally be deployed by one person (subject to local Health and Safety risk assessments) either via a tagline pulley system, from a bridge, or via wading. The 'bottom tracking' capability provides the ability to move continuously across the stream to obtain a discharge measurement in two or three minutes instead of thirty minutes to an hour using the older point-by-point method.
