Development and maintenance of Hydro-Logic's mainstream software products HydroLog, RainArk and GaugeMan.  Responsible for managing development or evaluation of bespoke computer systems for various clients including SFT, Wessex Water and Severn Trent Water.

Wessex Water, 1976 - 1987
Data and Systems Officer
Audit of flow measurement sites.  MCERTS Inspector.  Regular liaison and inspection of rain gauges with Meteorological Office.  Responsible for hydrometric accuracy in Somerset.  Measurement of trade effluent and resolution of disputes.  Managerial and budgetary responsibility for the data section and management of the divisional flood forecasting rota.

Welsh Water, 1974 - 1976
Assistant Hydrologist
Responsible for the collection archiving and analysis of hydrometric data. Carried out much analysis into the magnitude and effects of the 1975 drought. Served as Flood Warning Officer.

Water Resources Board, 1971 - 1974
Scientific Officer
Designed foundation for data validation system for UK Surface Water Archive which is still being followed by IOH today.

Self taught in ALGOL to write program to determine the orbital parameters of Ariel 3 satellite engaged in research into the oxygen/ozone regime of the high atmosphere.
