Dwr Cymru Welsh Water, Wales, 2000 - (ongoing) 
Rehabilitation and ongoing maintenance of Hydrometric network for monitoring water abstraction and compensation flow gauges across the whole of Wales.

HLS has been commissioned by Dwr Cymru Welsh Water to install, operate and maintain a large network of telemetry enabled reservoir level and compensation flow gauges across the whole of Wales. The initial contract covered five years and following an EU OJEC re-tendering process, a new contract for six years was awarded in April 2006.

Water Level Monitoring Network

HLS was tasked with providing a telemetered network to help monitor and manage water levels across the Levels. Over 30 telemetry outstations have been installed across the network to provide reliable water level and temperature information for ecological monitoring.

HLS were commissioned to provide a bespoke telemetry monitoring solution to improve groundwater monitoring on an impacted aquifer in Cyprus. The solution was required to provide remote monitoring using the GPRS protocol and to provide a web-based interface with the data.

Scottish Water, 2008-2009
Establishing a Temporary Monitoring Network

HLS was commissioned by Scottish Water, through main consultant Mott MacDonald, to establish a temporary river level and flow, loch level and meteorological monitoring network. Hydro-Logic installed, maintained and calibrated 18 sites to provide Scottish Water with quality assured data to improve low flow estimates and reduce uncertainties in future water resource yield estimations.

City RainNet Knowledge Transfer Partnership
Research and Development Project between Hydro-Logic and The University of Leeds 2011-2012

HLS has been working in partnership with research associate John Black and Professor Chris Collier from the University of Leeds. The purpose is to develop and implement a prototype, near real-time, rainfall radar adjustment system capable of providing improved intensity measurements during convective storms in urban areas. The project involves Yorkshire Water, Northumbrian Water and Scottish Water in whose operational areas the system will be tested in pilot areas.
