Field Technician - Herefordshire & Worcestershire

Field Technician – Herefordshire/ Worcestershire

The role involves fieldwork, which will comprise visiting various sites throughout Wales, the Midlands and the North of England to undertake field measurements of water quantity (flow), depth, quality, rainfall etc, plus the operation and maintenance of telemetry logging equipment. Good level of computer literacy (MS Office – Word, Excel etc)

Full UK driving licence

GCSE or equivalent in Geography, Maths and English

Hands on practical skills

Comfortable working in water, able to swim



Installation skills, including the use of Power and Hand tools.

A Level in Geography


Full training is provided, so none required provided you have the essential skills listed above

Preferably near to our offices in Bromyard/ Malvern (we are due to relocate to Malvern in 2019). The ideal candidate would be located in Herefordshire or Worcestershire, although applications from others located elsewhere within the West Midlands or close to the Welsh border will be considered provided that the candidate is prepared to travel routinely to Bromyard/ Malvern to pick up and drop off equipment.


£10-£12/ hr, on a casual contract. Hours per week will vary according to our workload. There will be some routine baseload of work, with the opportunity to do more hours during peak periods, often in response to the weather (e.g. low flow periods or heavy rainfall/ high flows). This role would suit someone who is semi-retired or who is studying part-time.
